Intentional Nutrition and Movement.

What does “intentional nutrition & movement” mean?

You may of noticed the phrase “intentional nutrition & movement” being used as a guide with Interspace Wellness…. Well, let’s take a moment to explain what that means to us!

Intention is embedded in our own wishes and values, which then can influence the quality of our experiences and help support us in our goals. We can live with intention in MANY aspects of life, but especially in nutrition & exercise practices to ensure they are aligned with our health priorities.

Nourishing our bodies and participating in exercise, or movement, with intention and purpose. It provides us with a choice over and over again. Intentional nutrition practices combine education, intuitive eating, and mindfulness to support your health and well-being.

Honoring that each day, and each moment, may look different than the others.

For example, intentional movement may look like:

  • Dancing

  • Going on a walk with friends

  • Hiking

  • Joining a sports club

  • Actively taking rest

  • High-intensity workout

  • Yoga class

Nutrition can focus on the following to build intentionality:

  • Education and awareness

  • Versatility

  • Flexability

  • Long-term sustainability

  • Personalization

  • Habit forming

  • Preferences

Prompts to help you fuel and move with intention:

  • Am I hungry? Full?

  • Is this enjoyable?

  • Is my body craving movement or rest?

  • Do I feel satisfied?

  • What outcomes do I want?

  • Are any emotions or sensations influencing my habits?
